Learning and Memory with the N-back Test Heading link
N-back tasks are continuous-recognition measures that present stimulus sequences, such as letters or pictures, spaced several seconds apart. For each item in the sequence, the participant must decide whether the current stimulus matches the one displayed n trials ago, where n is a variable number that can be adjusted up or down to respectively increase or decrease cognitive load.
